Frederick J. Riley

Frederick J. Riley is the executive director of Weave: The Social Fabric Project at the Aspen Institute, where he leads efforts to rebuild trust and connection within communities across the United States. With a career spanning nearly two decades in nonprofit leadership, Riley has held roles such as chief advancement officer for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and national director of urban development for YMCA of the USA. His expertise includes designing and scaling programs that empower youth, particularly in urban and underserved communities, and mobilizing resources to support sustainable community development.

Riley’s leadership is informed by his personal experience growing up in a challenging neighborhood, where he witnessed the impact of community support and mentorship.
