Francine Lacqua

Francine Lacqua is a London-based anchor and editor-at-large for Bloomberg Television. She hosts the weekday program, "The Pulse with Francine Lacqua," and co-anchors the show "Bloomberg Surveillance" alongside Tom Keene. In addition, Lacqua hosts a special series, "Eye to Eye," where she engages with high-profile figures inside the world's most iconic Ferris wheel, the London Eye. She also conducts insightful interviews in her show "Leaders with Lacqua" and in her weekly podcast "In the City".

Since joining Bloomberg as an intern in 2000, Lacqua has worked her way up to become a news anchor, and has covered significant events such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, IMF in Washington, G20 meetings, the EU Leaders Summit, and OPEC. She was part of the team that won the OPEC award for 'Public Interest Reporting' in 2012. Additionally, she led Bloomberg Television's coverage of the Italian and French elections where she was one of the first international reporters to interview cabinet members.

Over her career, Lacqua has interviewed many notable personalities including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, among others. She has also moderated televised debates from the World Economic Forum in Davos and the European Economic Governance package.

In recognition of her work, Lacqua was awarded the Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy in 2018. She also won the "International TV Personality of the Year" at the AIB Media Awards in 2013, and was nominated for “Television Personality of the Year” at the same awards in 2009 and 2010. Lacqua holds an LLB in English law from King’s College in London and earned her undergraduate degree at the Sorbonne. She is fluent in English, French and Italian.
