Fran Fraschilla

Fran Fraschilla is a college basketball game and studio analyst at ESPN, recognized for his extensive coaching background and global basketball expertise. Fraschilla holds a bachelor's degree in American history from Brooklyn College. His coaching career spanned 23 years, including assistant positions at New York Tech, University of Rhode Island, Ohio University, Ohio State University, and Providence College. He later served as head coach at Manhattan College, St. John's University, and University of New Mexico, compiling an overall record of 175–100. His teams made eight postseason appearances in nine seasons, including three NCAA Tournament berths. At Manhattan College, he led the Jaspers to four consecutive postseason appearances and guided the team to an NCAA Tournament upset as a 13-seed. Fraschilla earned honors such as Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, NABC District II Coach of the Year, Eastern Basketball Coach of the Year, and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Coach of the Year. He was inducted into the Manhattan University Athletic Hall of Fame for his contributions to the program. At St. John's, he led the Red Storm to the NCAA Championship, and at New Mexico, he guided the Lobos to the Mountain West Conference championship game and a deep NIT run.

Upon joining ESPN, Fraschilla ranked as the 34th winningest active coach in men's college basketball. At ESPN, he serves as a lead analyst for Big 12 Conference men's basketball, including the network's "Big Monday" primetime games, and is a regular contributor to NIT coverage. He has also contributed to NBA Draft coverage, specializing in international basketball talent evaluation, and has served as an analyst for FIBA World Championships. Fraschilla's international scouting experience and analysis of global basketball prospects have established him as a knowledgeable voice in the sport. He has also provided analysis for ESPN's NCAA Division I Women's Basketball coverage.

In addition to his broadcasting work, Fraschilla has participated in community service initiatives, including the NABC/American Cancer Society's "Coaches vs. Cancer" program, serving as Honorary Chairman for the New Mexico Special Olympics Summer Games, and chairing the NABC Committee on Academics.
