Finesse Mitchell

Finesse Mitchell is a comedian, actor and writer best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, where he was a featured player before becoming a full cast member in 2005. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mitchell began his career in stand-up comedy, gaining national exposure through appearances on "Comic View," "Comedy Central Presents" and daytime programs including "The Today Show" and "The Tyra Banks Show."

A graduate of the University of Miami, Mitchell was a student-athlete and member of Kappa Alpha Psi, briefly participating in the university’s football program alongside notable alumni such as Dwayne Johnson and Warren Sapp. Before his entertainment career, he worked as an insurance salesman while developing his stand-up act.

Mitchell has continued to build a multifaceted career across television, film and publishing. His film credits include roles in “Who’s Your Caddy?,” “The Comebacks” and “Mad Money,” while his stand-up specials, including his Comedy Central Half Hour, have remained popular with audiences. In addition to performing, he is the author of the relationship advice book “Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much,” and previously contributed a column, “Oh, Brother!,” to Essence.

In recent years, Mitchell has remained active as a touring stand-up comedian and television performer, with appearances on sitcoms and reality competition series, including hosting roles and guest spots on programs such as Outmatched and The Great American Baking Show. He also continues to produce content through his company, Snap Famous Productions, while maintaining a strong presence in live comedy.

Known for his high-energy delivery and relatable storytelling, Mitchell continues to perform nationwide, drawing on his experiences in entertainment, relationships and everyday life to connect with audiences.
