Felicia Day is an actress, writer, producer, and digital media innovator recognized for her contributions to online entertainment and geek culture. Day began her academic journey early, entering college at age 16 and graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in mathematics and music performance. She studied ballet and operatic singing professionally and competed in national competitions before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Early television roles included a recurring appearance on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Day gained prominence as the creator, head writer, and lead actress of "The Guild," a web series inspired by her experiences as an online gamer. The show, which followed a group of MMORPG players, played a significant role in legitimizing web series as a creative medium.
