Faith Ford

Faith Ford is an American actress known for her work in television comedy and drama. Ford began her career on the daytime soap opera circuit, appearing in "One Life to Live" and "Another World" before moving to Hollywood, where she earned a recurring role on the drama "Thirtysomething." These early roles established her presence in the entertainment industry.

Ford gained national recognition as Corky Sherwood on the CBS sitcom "Murphy Brown," opposite Candice Bergen. The show achieved both critical and commercial success, and Ford received multiple nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, as well as two consecutive Golden Globe Award nominations for her portrayal of Corky Sherwood. Over the course of the series, Ford's character evolved from a naive reporter to a seasoned journalist. She later reprised the role in a subsequent season of the show.

After "Murphy Brown," Ford continued her television career with leading roles in the ABC comedy series "Hope & Faith" alongside Kelly Ripa, and in "Carpoolers" with Fred Goss and Jerry O'Connell. Her guest appearances include roles on "My Name is Earl," "Criminal Minds," and "The Middle." In film, Ford co-starred in "The Pacifier" and "Prom." She has also appeared in several television movies, including Hallmark movies "A Kiss at Midnight" and "Trading Christmas," as well as Lifetime's "Christmas in Mississippi." Ford appeared in the "Night Court" reboot as Gina Stone, Abby's mother.

Ford received the MovieGuide Grace Award for Most Inspiring Performance for her role in the TV movie "The Bridge, Part 2." In addition to acting, Ford is an author and producer. She co-wrote the cookbook "Cooking With Faith" with Melissa Clark, which features Southern recipes and stories from her upbringing. Ford has publicly discussed her diagnosis with Graves' disease, a health condition she has managed throughout her career.
