Eímear Noone

Eímear Noone is an Irish conductor and composer recognized for her contributions to video game music and orchestral performance. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Noone co-founded the Dublin City Concert Orchestra, an ensemble dedicated to film music, and co-created the Dublin International Game Music Festival. Her early interest in conducting began as a student, when she studied scores independently and was encouraged by musicians to pursue a career in conducting after leading an army band during a school concert.

Noone has composed and conducted music for major video game franchises, including "World of Warcraft," "Diablo III," "StarCraft II," "Overwatch," "Hearthstone," and "Heroes of the Storm." Her work on "Diablo III" achieved record-breaking sales and received awards for Best Audio and Best Original Score, as well as a BAFTA nomination. She was selected by Nintendo to conduct the first 3D filming of a game score for the 25th anniversary recording of "The Legend of Zelda" series, which set industry records for soundtrack sales.

Noone made history as the first woman to conduct at the Academy Awards, leading the orchestra in excerpts from the five nominated film scores. She was also the first woman to conduct at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Noone has conducted orchestras worldwide, including the San Francisco Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Singapore Symphony, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, and Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Her repertoire includes works such as Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade," Stravinsky's "The Firebird," Dvořák's "New World Symphony," and Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" with Los Angeles Ballet. She premiered the original show "Daughters of the Pirate Queen: The Spirit of Grace O'Malley" at the National Concert Hall of Ireland.

Noone tours internationally with "GameSymphonic," conducting major orchestras in performances of video game music, featuring selections from "World of Warcraft," "Call of Duty," "The Legend of Zelda," and "Fortnite." She co-composed the score for the Irish feature film "Baíte," which received recognition at the Galway Arts Festival. Noone is also a speaker, radio host, and presenter for Classic FM's gaming music show "High Score," and advocates for women in technology and music.
