Evan I. Schwartz is an author, screenwriter, and journalist who tells stories about innovators who have unlocked the human imagination to change the world. He’s the author of the upcoming book "SEA CHANGERS: Aquatic Activists Regenerating Our Oceans to Save Our World."
Currently a contributor at Smithsonian Magazine, Schwartz’s recent feature article “The Kelp Comeback: Underwater Forests Return to Life off the Coast of California, and That Might be Good News for the Entire Planet” sparked conversation around how we can still reach Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Schwartz has also written for WIRED, Harvard Business Review, MIT Technology Review, and BusinessWeek. His journalism has been selected for a National Magazine Award and The Best American Science and Nature Writing.
Schwartz is the author of six books including two acclaimed historical narratives about innovators who changed the world. He produced and wrote the documentary "Saved by the Sun," which gauges the future of solar power and premiered on PBS/NOVA.
