Erin Meezan

Erin Meezan is a sustainability executive with more than two decades of experience developing and implementing environmental strategies in the corporate sector. As chief sustainability officer at JLL, Meezan oversees the firm's sustainability program, integrating it across the organization and working with clients to drive measurable environmental impact. Under her leadership, JLL's global sustainability team advances the company's sustainability targets, develops approaches to impact and measurement, fosters innovation, and provides technical expertise.

Prior to joining JLL, Meezan served as chief sustainability officer at Interface, Inc., a global flooring manufacturer recognized for its sustainability initiatives. At Interface, Meezan was instrumental in creating the company's "Climate Take Back" mission and the framework that led to the launch of carbon-negative products. She led efforts to achieve carbon neutrality across all product lines, developed strategies for a carbon-negative enterprise, and contributed to the company's long-term sustainability mission. Meezan is featured in the documentary "Beyond Zero," which chronicles corporate transformation in sustainability.

Meezan is an advisor and frequent lecturer on sustainable business practices, speaking to senior management teams, universities, and business audiences internationally. She has delivered keynote addresses at conferences and forums including Bioneers, GreenBiz, VERGE, Greenbuild, Sustainable Brands, SXSW, SXSW Eco, and Conscious Capitalism, and has presented to audiences in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, and Europe. Her TED talk explores lessons from nature for sustainable business, and she has participated in forums during the COP21 climate talks in Paris.

Meezan holds a magna cum laude degree from Vermont Law School, where she earned a master's degree in studies in environmental law and a juris doctor degree. She serves as a guest lecturer at Harvard University for the Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership program. Meezan is a member of the Advisory Board for Project Drawdown, a founding member of the Advisory Board for the Sustainable Intrapreneurship MBA program at the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business, and represents JLL on the World Green Building Council's Corporate Advisory Board.

Meezan also serves as executive director of the JLL Foundation, working with the Foundation Board to advance its goals and accelerate climate change impact through investments in sustainable technologies. The Foundation has awarded millions in zero-interest loans to companies focused on sustainability and early-stage funding. Meezan's dual roles at JLL position her at the intersection of corporate sustainability, climate innovation, and the future of real estate.
