Erin Jerri Pañgilinan

Erin Jerri Malonzo Pañgilinan is an entrepreneur, educator, and author specializing in technology, entertainment, and civic engagement. Pañgilinan serves as co-founder and chief technology officer of Salamat, a television and film studio and startup focused on integrating storytelling with emerging technology. Her work as a software engineer and computational designer spans artificial intelligence, the metaverse, Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, reflecting a commitment to advancing spatial computing and immersive media.

Pañgilinan is the author of the O'Reilly Media title "Creating Augmented and Virtual Realities: Theory and Practice for Next-Generation of Spatial Computing," recognized as a top resource on virtual reality and distributed internationally. Her contributions to the book include chapters on data and machine learning visualization design and development in extended reality (XR). Pañgilinan's expertise in spatial computing and artificial intelligence has been acknowledged through competitive fellowships, including the Amazon Web Services CTO Fellowship, GitCoin Kernel, Alley (Verizon Ventures), and Meta Oculus Launch Pad.
