Erin Jackson

Erin Jackson is an accomplished speed skater, recognized for her remarkable performance at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where she won gold in the Women's 500m event. This extraordinary achievement made her the first Black woman to secure a Winter Olympic gold medal in an individual sport. Alongside her speed skating career, Jackson also competes in roller derby, showcasing her agility and strength with the Jacksonville RollerGirls.

Her versatility in sports doesn't end with speed skating and roller derby. Jackson was a contestant on "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test" season 2, proving her mettle by becoming the only woman to win. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to roller sports, Jackson was named United States Olympic Committee Female Athlete of the Year in 2012 and 2013. Beyond her Olympic gold, Jackson also has multiple medals from the World Single Distances Championships and Four Continents Championships in speed skating, further cementing her place as a leading figure in the sport.

Jackson's prowess on the ice continued beyond her Olympic triumph. She made history as the first Black American woman to win a Speedskating World Cup. In 2022, Jackson's remarkable fitness and athletic ability earned her a spot in "Sports Illustrated's Fittest 50". Kicking off the 2024 speed skating season with a gold medal, Jackson continued to dominate the sport.
