Eric Vishria Biography
Eric Vishria is a technology entrepreneur and venture capitalist who serves as a General Partner at Benchmark, where he focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software, infrastructure and AI. He began his career at technology companies Loudcloud and Opsware, rising to Vice President of Marketing at Opsware before its $1.65 billion acquisition by Hewlett-Packard in 2007.
In 2008, Vishria co-founded RockMelt, a social web browser, and served as its CEO until Yahoo acquired the company in 2013. He subsequently served as a Yahoo vice president before joining Benchmark in 2014.
At Benchmark, Vishria has backed and served on the boards of numerous technology companies, including Confluent, Amplitude, Benchling, Contentful, Cerebras Systems and Fireworks AI. He holds a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford University, which he completed at age 19.
