Eric Kutcher

Eric Kutcher is senior partner and chairman for North America at McKinsey & Company, where he leads the firm’s operations across the United States and Canada. With a career spanning nearly three decades at McKinsey, Kutcher has held several key roles, including serving as the firm’s chief financial officer and as the global leader of its Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice. His expertise includes guiding executive teams in technology, media, telecommunications, and advanced industrial sectors, supporting organizations in setting strategic goals and executing business transformation initiatives.

Kutcher has focused on leadership in the adoption of artificial intelligence and the evolution of management strategy. He has been featured in Columbia Business School’s Distinguished Speakers Series, where he discussed the cultural changes required to leverage AI and the importance of practical, inclusive approaches to climate innovation. During his tenure as CFO, Kutcher led initiatives such as instituting a firm-wide carbon tax, implementing a cloud-based ERP system across nearly 60 countries, and aligning McKinsey’s fee structures with client impact.

In addition to his client work, Kutcher has contributed to advancing gender equality in the workplace, including helping establish McKinsey’s partnership with Lean In to benchmark and improve environments for women’s success.
