Eric Buterbaugh

Eric Buterbaugh is an American floral designer and perfumer recognized for his work in luxury floral design and fragrance. Known as the King of Roses, Buterbaugh has collaborated with celebrities, fashion designers, royalty, and high-profile clients on floral arrangements for weddings, parties, and events. Over two decades, Buterbaugh established a reputation for opulent flowers presented in a modern style, becoming a notable figure in the floral design industry.

Before entering the world of floristry, Buterbaugh built a career in fashion, holding positions at Gianni Versace in Beverly Hills, Milan, and London, where he oversaw the Versace flagship Emporium. He later worked with fashion house Valentino and jeweler Theo Fennell. After transitioning from fashion, Buterbaugh moved to Los Angeles, where he began his journey as a florist by designing an arrangement for a friend's birthday party, which marked the beginning of his floral design career.

Through Eric Buterbaugh Flower Design, LLC, he became the designer in residence at Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. His floral arrangements have attracted clients from the entertainment, fashion, and political spheres, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Demi Moore, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Madonna, Dior, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Ferragamo, Cartier, the British royal family, Salma Hayek, Maria Shriver, and Paul McCartney. Buterbaugh has designed florals for events such as Princess Beatrice's 18th birthday at Windsor Castle, becoming the first American to receive this distinction. His work is also in demand during awards season, with celebrities selecting his arrangements for Oscar parties and as gifts.

Expanding into perfumery, Buterbaugh partnered with fragrance executive Fabrice Croisé to create a line of floral-inspired perfumes, resulting in the collection "EB Florals by Eric Buterbaugh." The brand was later acquired by Puig, which collaborated with Buterbaugh to refresh the packaging and introduce new scents. His Beverly Boulevard boutique functions as both a perfumery and a gallery, showcasing artists whose work explores flowers and fragrance.

Buterbaugh has appeared on television as co-host and judge of "The Arrangement," a competitive reality series featuring floral designers on Logo, and in the documentary "Herb Ritts: LA Style," where he provided commentary on the photographer's career. With a career spanning fashion, floral design, perfumery, television, and the arts, Buterbaugh is recognized for his influence in the luxury floral and fragrance industries.
