Elle Kaplan

Elle Kaplan is an entrepreneur and financial expert known as the CEO and founding partner of LexION Capital, a New York-based fiduciary wealth management firm. Kaplan's path to Wall Street was influenced by a personal experience in college, when her father fell into a coma and she witnessed her mother's challenges managing the family's investments. This experience motivated her to pursue a career in finance, aiming to create a space where women could access ethical investment advice. She spent a decade at leading Wall Street firms before founding her own company. Kaplan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, where she studied English and chemistry, and an executive MBA in finance from Columbia University.

Kaplan founded LexION Capital to address gaps in the financial industry, establishing one of the few women-owned and women-run wealth management firms in the United States. The firm serves clients who feel underserved by traditional Wall Street institutions, including women and families. As founding partner and CEO, Kaplan provides customized investment solutions and a broad range of wealth and risk management advice to individuals, foundations, trusts, and endowments. In addition to her role at LexION Capital, she is the chief investment officer of Elle Capital, a women-owned quantitative fund that incorporates human psychology and investor biases into its mathematical models. Elle Capital launched with the support of Howard Morgan, a quantitative investing pioneer and co-founder of Renaissance Technologies.

Her transition from corporate banker to independent asset manager has been profiled by CBS and Fox. Kaplan is also active as a public speaker, serving as a keynote speaker and expert panelist at events across the United States. She has delivered keynote addresses at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Women in Business Summit and Inc.'s GrowCo Conference, addressed senior female military leaders at The Pentagon, and spoken at Columbia University's Executive MBA commencement. Her direct approach and financial insights have earned her the nickname The Wonder Woman of Wall Street.
