Ella Beatty

Ella Beatty is an actress known for her work across television, film, and theater. A graduate of the Juilliard School, where she studied drama, Beatty has built a diverse portfolio in the entertainment industry. She made her screen debut with a recurring role in the FX on Hulu anthology series "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans," portraying Kerry O'Shea, the surrogate daughter of Truman Capote, in the Ryan Murphy series.

On stage, Beatty made her Broadway debut in a replacement role in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' play "Appropriate," stepping in for Elle Fanning as River Rayner. She continued her theater career with roles in productions such as the Lincoln Center Theater production of Henrik Ibsen's "Ghosts" at Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater off-Broadway, where she played Regina Engstrand opposite Billy Crudup and Lily Rabe. Beatty's film credits include the A24 film "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," directed by Mary Bronstein, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She also stars as Lizzie Borden in the fourth season of Ryan Murphy's anthology series "Monster." The series tells the story of Lizzie Borden, who was tried and acquitted of the axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. The "Monster" franchise has received critical recognition, with "The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" and "The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story" earning multiple Emmy nominations. The role of Lizzie Borden marks Beatty's first lead in a major television production.
