Elena Rybakina

Elena Rybakina is a professional tennis player representing Kazakhstan and ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association. She has won 14 WTA Tour-level singles titles, including three major titles and the WTA Finals, and is the first Kazakhstani player to win a major and to be ranked world No. 1 and in the world's top 10. Rybakina is recognized for her powerful serve and aggressive baseline play, attributes that have contributed to her success in women's tennis.

Rybakina began her career competing for Russia before switching federations to Kazakhstan. In her first full year as a professional, she defeated world No. 7 Caroline Garcia and later captured her first WTA title on the clay of Bucharest, breaking into the top 100. She advanced further by reaching five tour finals in one season, the most of any player that year. Rybakina achieved her first major victory at Wimbledon, where she won the women's singles trophy, becoming the first Kazakhstani player to win a Grand Slam tournament. At 23 years old, she became the youngest Wimbledon champion since Petra Kvitova.

Rybakina reached the final of the Australian Open, becoming the first Kazakhstani to do so, and entered the top 10 in the rankings. She won her first WTA 1000 title at the Indian Wells Open, reached the final of the Miami Open, and won the Italian Open, becoming the first player since 2017 to win both the Italian Open and Indian Wells Open in the same year. She also won WTA 500 titles at the Brisbane International, Abu Dhabi Open, and Stuttgart Open.

Her season concluded with a victory at the WTA Finals, making her the first Asian singles player to win the tournament. By winning the title undefeated, Rybakina earned $5.235 million in prize money, setting a record for the largest prize money earned by a female tennis player at a single event. She also became the second player in WTA history to hit 500 aces in a single season, leading the Tour in aces for the second time in her career. Rybakina continued her form by winning major titles at the Australian Open and US Open, claiming the US Open championship by defeating Aryna Sabalenka and securing her third Grand Slam title.
