Dylan Gossett

Dylan Gossett is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, recognized for his blend of country, Americana, and red dirt influences. Gossett’s music is characterized by acoustic instrumentation, a gravelly vocal style, and emotionally direct songwriting. He writes and performs all of his material, drawing on personal experiences and storytelling traditions within country music.

Raised in Austin, Gossett was introduced to music by his parents and began playing guitar after discovering Ed Sheeran in middle school. Largely self-taught, he developed his skills by learning from online resources and his older brother. His musical influences include Alan Jackson, George Strait, Journey, The Eagles, Scorpions, Boston, Turnpike Troubadours, Flatland Cavalry, and Cody Johnson.

While attending Texas A&M University, Gossett continued to write and perform music. He also worked in operations at Circuit of the Americas, reflecting his interest in motorsports. Gossett began sharing his music online, gaining attention with covers such as The Lumineers’ “Ophelia” and Flatland Cavalry songs. His independent debut single, “To Be Free,” gained significant traction on social media and streaming platforms, followed by the breakout success of his song “Coal.” Both tracks achieved high streaming numbers and charted on Billboard and iTunes, establishing Gossett as a rising figure in the country and Americana music scenes.

Gossett’s style merges Texas country roots with Americana, emphasizing both songwriting and vocal performance. He released the single “Beneath Oak Trees” from his debut EP "No Better Time," expanding his audience through live performances and festival appearances. As his independent releases gained momentum, Gossett partnered with a major label to further his reach while maintaining his hands-on approach to songwriting and production.
