Drew Starkey

Drew Starkey is an actor known for his work in film and television, particularly in teen drama, streaming series, and prestige cinema. Starkey graduated magna cum laude with a double major in English and theater performance from Western Carolina University, where he received the inaugural Charles Stancil Stephens-Kudzu Players Scholarship awarded to students in the School of Stage and Screen academic program. After college, he relocated to Atlanta to pursue acting before moving to Los Angeles.

Starkey began his career with supporting roles in the films "Love, Simon" and "The Hate U Give." He also appeared in "Ozark," "American Animals," and "Scream: Resurrection." His breakthrough role came as Rafe Cameron in the Netflix series "Outer Banks," where he portrays a complex character in a teen adventure setting. Starkey also appeared in Prime Video's "The Terminal List."

In the period romantic drama film "Queer," also titled onscreen as "William S. Burroughs' Queer," directed by Luca Guadagnino, Starkey stars opposite Daniel Craig. The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and was named one of the Top Ten Films of the year by the National Board of Review. Starkey's performance in the film received critical attention for its emotional depth.

Starkey joined the cast of the Apple TV+ limited drama series "Lucky," based on Marissa Stapley's novel, portraying Cary, the husband of the series protagonist played by Anya Taylor-Joy. His career encompasses a range of genres, including teen drama, streaming television, and feature films, establishing Starkey as a versatile presence in the entertainment industry.
