Drew McKnight

Drew McKnight is co-chief executive officer and managing partner at Fortress Investment Group, a global investment management firm. Based in Dallas, McKnight plays a key role in shaping the firm's credit strategies as co-head of corporate credit and serves on the leadership committee and several investment committees. His expertise includes liquid strategies, distressed debt, and credit transactions. McKnight is also co-chief investment officer of the Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund and other Fortress credit vehicles. Before joining Fortress, McKnight worked at Fir Tree Partners, where he managed high-yield and convertible bonds, bank debt, derivatives, and equities, and at Goldman Sachs in leveraged finance and distressed bank debt trading.

McKnight participates on various boards and advisory committees. He serves on the board of trustees for the American Enterprise Institute, the board of overseers at the Hoover Institution, and advisory boards at the University of Virginia Center for Politics, SMU Cox School of Business Alternative Asset Management Center, and UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has contributed to the Center for New American Security. These roles reflect his involvement in both financial and policy sectors, as well as his engagement in thought leadership within investment management and public affairs.

A graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, McKnight is known for his executive leadership, financial expertise, and ability to navigate complex market environments. He has been featured in the hedge fund industry and is invited to speak at major conferences, such as the Milken Institute Global Conference, where he shares insights on credit markets and investment strategy.
