Drake Maye

Drake Maye, a professional football quarterback, currently plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). Before entering the professional field, Maye was a key player for the North Carolina Tar Heels. His collegiate career was highlighted by several achievements including winning the Shaun Alexander Award and being named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Football Player of the Year in 2022. He also earned the title of ACC Rookie of the Year and was named First-team All-ACC in 2022 and Second-team All-ACC in 2023.

Maye was selected third overall by the Patriots in the 2024 NFL draft and signed a four-year fully-guaranteed contract. He made his regular season debut in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season and was subsequently named the starting quarterback for the Patriots in October of the same year. Despite experiencing a concussion during a game against the Jets in October 2024, Maye's performance in the following NFL seasons remained strong. He earned Pro Bowl honors during his rookie season and was selected to play in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. Notably, in the 2025 NFL season, he led a game-winning drive against the Buffalo Bills, culminating in a 52-yard field goal. As of Week 11, 2025, his NFL career statistics include a completion percentage of 69.1%, 35 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, 5,112 passing yards, and a passer rating of 100.3.
