Dr. Robert Costa, Jr. CPA

Dr. Robert Costa Jr., CPA, is a Certified Public Accountant, ordained minister, pastor, and keynote speaker whose career spans both corporate finance and church leadership. Costa graduated magna cum laude from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. As a CPA in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Costa served as a senior tax consultant for Arthur Andersen & Company and Ernst & Young. He later held executive roles as vice president and chief financial officer of a savings bank and as vice president and treasurer of another financial institution. During his tenure in banking, Costa identified financial impropriety and assisted authorities in a criminal investigation.

Costa also worked as a financial system specialist for a computer consulting company in central Massachusetts and has been a frequent speaker at Microsoft-sponsored conventions, including "Windows on New England" and "Connect98." He was recognized as Teacher of the Year by a tri-state chapter of the American Institute of Banking. His background in technology, banking, and financial systems informs his approach to ministry and church administration.

In ministry, Costa served as senior pastor for churches in Connecticut and Massachusetts for 13 years and has been preaching since 1983. He later joined a congregation in Sterling Heights, Michigan, as staff pastor and subsequently served as an elder and minister at The Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills, a multicultural church with more than 2,300 members. Costa has held roles as executive pastor and treasurer for several large ministries in North America and is a frequent speaker on church finance and stewardship. He is also a professor of theology, church growth, and administration at Destiny School of Ministry, a licensed and accredited Bible school and seminary in Roseville, Michigan, affiliated with Wagner Leadership Institute and the Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability.

Costa founded Clergy Consultants, a firm dedicated to assisting churches, ministries, and laity with legal, accounting, tax, and financial matters. As general overseer of an apostolic network, Costa leads Clergy Consultants' Capital and Stewardship Division, which has raised significant funds for churches and ministries and secured debt financing for large projects at competitive rates.

Costa has spoken at conferences and crusades in 40 states, Canada, and Western Europe, and regularly addresses men's and family life conferences, camp meetings, and crusades. He serves as men's ministry president for a coalition of churches in the Hawaiian Islands and has spoken at churches and conferences including Abyssinia Christ Centered Ministries. As a keynote speaker, Costa addresses topics related to faith, religion, the economy, and finance, focusing on the intersection of spiritual stewardship and financial management.
