Dr. Richard Fleming

Richard M. Fleming, M.D. is a Board Certified Nuclear Cardiologist, Speaker and Researcher on Inflammation and Heart Disease, Breast Cancer and the need for more accurate detection of health problems frequently mis-diagnosed and poorly treated by conventional medicine.

Raised in Waterloo, Iowa, and residing now in Reno, NV, Dr. Richard Fleming was one of the first to benefit from changes in education implemented by the J.F. Kennedy administration, which provided increased funding for gifted individuals interested in the sciences. Working first in physics and later in medicine, Dr. Richard Fleming discovered that the usual method of looking for heart disease and later breast cancer missed many people and did not explain the underlying cause of these problems. His research resulted in his investigating the impact of diet and lifestyle on Heart Disease, Cancer and Diabetes. The theory of "Inflammation and Heart Disease" resulted in his presenting this work at meetings in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The findings of his work have been published in more than 50 scientific papers in peer review medical journals, the publication of 6 chapters in medical textbooks, more than 60 presentations worldwide, 3 books and several National Television programs including "The Today Show", "MSNBC" and "20/20."

Dr. Richard Fleming was working on his Graduate Degree in Psychology when he entered Medical School at the University of Iowa. His Internal Medicine and Cardiology training occurred at Creighton and the University of Texas.

Currently Dr. Richard Fleming has expanded his role to develop a new method for more accurately detecting Breast Cancer (Breast Enhanced Scintigraphy Test) and Heart Disease (FH Washout) using his physics and medical training to detect breast cancer and heart disease sooner and to reduce the need for more invasive approaches. This along with his training in psychology has increased his interest in improving the current health care system by expanding his work with both men and women as well as children, noting an increasing threat to the health of ALL Americans both young and old. The current approach will lead to a "bi-modal society" where the cost of health care cannot be met by the current system.

In late 2008, Dr. Richard Fleming was asked to hold a "Health Care Discussion" for the Obama-Biden Transition program, which he did in Reno, NV. The topic included "Emergency Health Care" and the "Freedom of Choice Act." What America needs is a National Health Care Policy, NOT National Health Insurance. Failure to recognize the difference could destroy what little chance we have left to successfully CHANGE the system.

Since 2017, Dr. Fleming has published more than 50-papers in peer reviewed medical journals exposing lies told by Big Pharma, including how their drugs actually work and whether they truly help people. He has also been investigating which diets work and which harm people.

In 2017 he was issued a patent for 20-years of work, developing the first method for actually measuring heart disease and cancer - making it possible to find heart disease when missed by other methods AND finding early changes leading up to cancer, making it possible to find problems sooner opening new treatment options.

As a physicist-physician-attorney, he seeks to improve health care, addressing many of the problems currently confronting Americans.
