Dr. Mark Sherwood & Dr. Michele Neil-Sherwood

Dr. Mark Sherwood and Dr. Michele Neil-Sherwood are health experts and co-founders of the Functional Medical Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mark Sherwood, Naturopathic Doctor, and Michele Neil-Sherwood, Doctor of Osteopathy, focus on functional medicine and adopt a whole-person, outcome-based approach tailored to individual needs at their wellness-based medical practice.

Neil-Sherwood is double board certified in internal medicine and sports medicine, with specialties in age management medicine, nutrigenetics, nutrigenomics, naturopathic and functional medicine, lifestyle coaching, prolotherapy, and osteopathic manipulative therapy. Sherwood has completed training and certifications in age management, functional medicine, nutrigenetics, nutrigenomics, hormone therapy, peptide therapy, stress management, gastrointestinal health, and immunology.

Sherwood is a retired veteran of the Tulsa Police Department, with service on the department's SWAT Team, and is a former state and regional physique champion and former professional baseball player. Neil-Sherwood is a former national physique champion, taekwondo and judo black belt, fitness expert, fellow in osteopathic internal medicine, and an Institute for Functional Medicine certified practitioner. Their work is guided by a mission to address healthcare challenges by focusing on prevention, reducing choice-driven disease conditions, and minimizing unnecessary medication use.

The Sherwoods have co-authored several books, including "The Quest for Wellness," "Fork Your Diet," "Surviving the Garden of Eatin'," "The Narrow Road," "Peptides Unlocked," and "Hormones Unlocked." They are also producers of the documentary film "Fork Your Diet" and other films, including "The Prayer List," "WWJR," "Heaven's Date," "Holy Flix," and "Wealthy Soul." Their film "Forgotten Fortune" features Lou Ferrigno and Jimmy JJ Walker.

The Sherwoods are creators and hosts of "Furthermore," a twice-weekly TV show featured on national networks. Their work has been featured on Fox News, CNN, CBN, and in major publications across the United States. As authors, podcasters, movie producers, and media personalities, they founded Hope Dealers International to empower individuals to take control of their health. Their social media network reaches over 2 million people annually. Sherwood also develops and teaches wellness-based courses for law enforcement professionals, corporations, and churches in the United States and internationally. Drs.
