Dr. Kristi Funk

Dr. Kristi Funk is a double board-certified breast cancer surgeon and lifestyle medicine physician, bestselling author, and international speaker. After graduating with distinction in psychology from Stanford University, Funk earned her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine, completed a five-year general surgery residency in Seattle, and pursued a surgical breast fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she served as director of the breast center for seven years.

Funk founded the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, which integrated advanced breast cancer screening, genetic testing, diagnosis, and surgical treatment with preventive strategies and holistic care. At the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Los Angeles, Funk specializes in minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment methods for various breast diseases. She has assisted thousands of women through breast cancer treatment, including public figures such as Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow. Funk's joint announcement with Jolie regarding preventive double mastectomy brought global attention to BRCA gene mutations, their link to breast and ovarian cancers, and the significance of genetic testing. Sheryl Crow also collaborated with Funk to open the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center at the Pink Lotus Breast Center.

Funk is the author of the bestseller "Breasts: The Owner's Manual," a comprehensive guide to reducing breast cancer risk, making informed treatment decisions, and optimizing outcomes, available internationally. Her research for the book involved reviewing thousands of clinical studies, which inspired her to develop the "Cancer-Kicking!" program focused on nutrition and lifestyle medicine. Funk also founded the online women's social network Pink Lotus Power Up and leads annual "Cancer-Kicking!" Summits, as well as a monthly online cooking show featuring recipes from her "Cancer-Kicking Kitchen."

Funk is a recognized breast health expert for Good Morning America and Merit Street Media, and has served as a co-host of "The Doctors." She has appeared on Today, Rachael Ray, The Dr. Oz Show, CNN, The View, and numerous radio and podcast programs. Funk is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She has received multiple honors and awards for her contributions to breast cancer awareness and education. Funk also hosts the "Cancer-Kicking!
