Dr. Jeffrey L. Gurian

Dr. Jeffrey L. Gurian is often referred to as a "Renaissance Man" because he is involved in numerous fields. On WABC Radio, he is known as "The Dr. of Happiness" due to his work as a doctor and motivational speaker. Additionally, Dr. Gurian serves as a comedy writer for major stars, performer, director, author, producer, and radio personality, not always in that order.

Dr. Gurian spent 20 years on the Board of The Association for Spirituality and Psychotherapy, 12 years at New York University as a Clinical Professor in Oral Medicine and Oro-Facial Pain, and 25 years as a cosmetic dentist. He is the author of eight books: five on comedy, including one with Chris Rock, and three on happiness, mindset, overcoming obstacles, and transforming negative thinking into positive thinking.

Dr. Gurian has written for, and performed with, legendary stars such as Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Gilbert Gottfried, Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll, and John Mulaney. He served as the main writer for the renowned Friars roasts for 12 years. His work has been profiled in a cover story in The New York Times, Dan's Papers in The Hamptons, Sutton Place Magazine, and Page Six more than 50 times. A documentary film about his life was released in 2020.

Dr. Gurian also developed a cure for stuttering, which he used to overcome his own, and now spends his time working with individuals worldwide to help them eliminate stuttering. His talks are insightful and humorous, moving audiences from laughter to tears.
