Dr. Chris Donaghue

Dr. Chris Donaghue is a sex therapist, clinical educator, author, and international lecturer whose work focuses on psychology, sexology, and cultural advocacy. Donaghue holds a doctorate in clinical sexology and human sexuality, has completed doctoral training in clinical psychology, and is a licensed clinical therapist, certified sex therapist, and certified sexologist. Donaghue practices general psychology and specializes in individual and couples sex and relational therapy, with areas of focus including intimacy and relationships, sexual and relational trauma, addiction, sexual compulsivity, and sexual dysfunctions. Donaghue utilizes approaches such as attachment-based interventions, emotionally focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatics, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.

Donaghue is the author of the books "Sex Outside the Lines: Authentic Sexuality in a Sexually Dysfunctional Culture" and "Rebel Love," and has contributed chapters to "The Sex Issue" by the editors of Goop and "The Mindful Masculinity Workbook." Donaghue's writing addresses relationships and sexuality, advocating for a more inclusive, shame-free approach to human intimacy and supporting all sexualities and identities.

In addition to private practice, Donaghue has a presence in media and public education.
