Dot Bustelo

Dot Bustelo is an entrepreneur, inventor, and creative technologist whose career spans music production, visual art, and digital innovation. After a decade on Apple's Worldwide Logic Pro Product, Sales, and Artist Relations teams, Bustelo became a recognized figure in the streaming media industry. In her role at Apple, she cultivated strategic relationships between artists and technology, delivered international stage demonstrations, and introduced Apple music production software to top studios across the United States. She worked with artists including Trent Reznor, Tommy Lee, The Killers, Lady Gaga, and Akon.

A former Apple product manager under Steve Jobs, Bustelo launched Loupe as a streaming art app on Apple TV. Loupe became the first platform to allow users to stream and purchase visual art globally in both home and commercial settings, such as hotels, lobbies, and airports. The app reached the No. 1 lifestyle position on Apple TV in more than 60 countries, amassing an audience of 4 million streamers worldwide and 1.5 million monthly active users. Bustelo is co-inventor of two patents enabling visual streaming experiences tailored to user preferences. The platform expanded to feature over 10,000 original artworks from more than 750 artists across 50 countries. Loupe's growth led to its acquisition by Stingray, establishing Loupe Art as a leading visual art streaming service on Smart TVs and Digital Signage.

Bustelo's expertise extends into music production and the arts. As an electronic music producer and Emmy Award-winning engineer for television and dance labels, she served on the Recording Academy's Producer & Engineering Wing Advisory Council and as a two-term governor of its Atlanta Chapter. She is the author of the Amazon bestseller on Logic Pro production techniques, "The Power of Logic Pro." The book outlines her methodology for creating in Logic, which she shared with numerous bands and Grammy Award-winning producers and engineers. Artists such as Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and James Valentine of Maroon 5 have publicly acknowledged her expertise in music production software.

Previously a member of Apple's Worldwide Product Team, Bustelo is an internationally recognized creative technologist, author, industry speaker, inventor, Emmy Award-winning sound designer, and a finalist for Woman of the Year in Technology. She has been a featured speaker and product demonstrator at industry conferences and events focused on media, entertainment, technology, digital art, and content-driven innovation, including SXSW Interactive, London Tech Week, Streaming Media West, the National Association of Music Merchants Show, and Musikmesse Frankfurt. Bustelo advises media, entertainment, and creative technology teams on platform architecture, launch strategies, licensing, and distribution, while continuing to advance immersive art and music experiences through ventures such as ArtFika, a 3D art and music platform featuring global XR artists and powered by AI and spatial mapping for music-driven mixed reality and augmented experiences with dynamic, 360-degree audio.
