Dorinda Clark-Cole

Dorinda Clark Cole is known as the “Rose of Gospel” armed with a superlative legacy and anointed musical gift. She is a world renowned gospel singer celebrated for her distinctive mid-range, high end pointed vocal character which she credits to her late mother the highly celebrated, legendary, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.

As one of the members of the highest-selling female gospel group in history, The Clark Sisters, she has amassed three Grammy Awards, two Dove Awards and has been awarded the lifetime achievement award from the Grammy Recording Academy. In 2020, the Lifetime Biopic about The Clark Sisters was released entitled “The First Ladies of Gospel”, garnering over 20 million viewers. Additionally, she has performed with the group nationally on the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon", ABC's "The View," "Bobby Jones Gospel," "Lift Every Voice," "Gospel Superfest," TBN's "Praise the Lord," "The Stellar Awards," "The Queen Latifah Show," "The Lady of Soul" and "The Kennedy Center Honors." As a solo artist, Dr. Cole has amassed six Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and A Lady of Soul award.

Dr. Cole has mastered the balance between music and evangelism, as she is internationally celebrated for her exceptional delivery of the gospel. She is recorded in history as the first African American woman to preach to a congregation of over 5,000 individuals in South Africa. Currently, she serves as the International Elect Lady of the International Department of Evangelism (IDOE) to the Church of God in Christ. Additionally, she serves as the church administrator for Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, J. Drew Sheard and Evangelist Dr. Karen Clark-Sheard.

She is the founder and CEO of Cole Enterprises, Harvestime Ministries, Lifeline Productions, and the Singers, Musicians and Arts Conference (SMAC), through which she empowers and equips artists and leaders in faith-based communities. A celebrated media personality, Dr. Cole has served as host of the nationally syndicated "Dorinda Clark Cole Radio Show" and television programs on TCT Networks ("The Dorinda Show") and The Word Network ("Gospel According to Dorinda"). She has graced major platforms such as BET’s Celebration of Gospel and serves as a longtime host of the Stellar Awards.

Dr. Cole's entrepreneurial ventures include her fashion line, The DCC Rose Collection, and a beauty brand encompassing Dorrín Beauty for women and a men’s collection. She also owns The Grace House, an adult daycare center located in Southfield, Michigan, dedicated to community care.

Her influence has been recognized nationally, including a performance of “Nothing but the Truth” at the unveiling of the Bust of Sojourner Truth on Capitol Hill in 2009, attended by First Lady Michelle Obama and other dignitaries. A scholar as well as a performer, Dr. Cole received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Mt. Carmel Theological Seminary in 2004, followed by bachelor’s (2023) and master’s (2024) degrees in Theology in Biblical Studies.
