Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, also known as "Doctor Mike," has carved a unique path in the medical field, combining his expertise with a knack for public engagement. Known for his YouTube channel where he posts medically themed entertainment videos, Dr. Varshavski has gained a wide audience with his engaging content. His public speaking skills were highlighted when he delivered a TEDx Talk in 2017 titled "The epidemic of the 'I Know It All' expert," addressing the growing problem of misinformation in the digital age. Further demonstrating his ability to command an audience, he delivered the keynote address at PatientPoint’s annual Upfront conference in 2025.

Varshavski's commitment to public education and debunking medical myths was particularly noticeable during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he took on false claims and interviewed key figures like Anthony Fauci. His public speaking skills were also put to use in his health-related podcast launched in September 2022, "The Checkup with Doctor Mike". Besides his work in digital media, Varshavski joined Chatham Family Medicine in New Jersey in 2018, further reinforcing his hands-on experience in the medical field.
