Diggy Simmons

Daniel Dwayne Simmons III, known professionally as Diggy Simmons, is an American rapper, singer, actor, and model recognized for his diverse contributions to the entertainment industry. The fourth child of Joseph Simmons of Run-DMC, Simmons first gained national attention as a teenager when he and his family were featured on the MTV reality television series "Run's House." He leveraged his hip-hop background to develop his own artistic identity within the music and television landscape.

Simmons released his debut mixtape, "The First Flight," which was downloaded more than 100,000 times from his blog. Following its release, he signed with Atlantic Records. He gained further recognition after uploading a video of himself freestyling over the Nas song "Made You Look," which became a viral hit. At age 15, Simmons was named to the XXL Freshman Class alongside Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. His debut studio album, "Unexpected Arrival," reached number 11 on the Billboard 200 and received positive critical reception. He also joined Lupe Fiasco's rap collective, All City Chess Club, as its youngest member.

Simmons has collaborated with artists including Bruno Mars, Pharrell, and Ty Dolla $ign, and has performed at notable events such as the White House Easter Egg Roll. After appearing in multiple episodes of the "Black-ish" spin-off "Grown-ish," he released the independent project "Lighten Up."

In his acting career, Simmons has portrayed Doug Edwards on the Freeform teen drama "Grown-ish," a spin-off of ABC's "Black-ish." He also appeared in the made-for-television movie "The Start Up," which he helped produce. Simmons is an NAACP and BET award-winning musician and actor with a career spanning more than a decade.

Simmons has also been active in the fashion industry, modeling in various fashion week shows and working with brands such as Ferragamo and Calvin Klein. He has collaborated with Don C and Converse during New York Fashion Week and participated in a Lexus U.S. campaign for Marvel's "Black Panther." Simmons continues to work across music, television, and fashion, maintaining a presence in hip-hop, acting, and style.
