Diana Stafie

Diana Stafie is a recognized expert in strategic foresight in Europe and the founder of Future Station, the first Romanian-based foresight consultancy practice. Her consultancy supports organizations in anticipating change, navigating uncertainty, and designing long-term strategies. With a background in finance and futures thinking, Stafie advises executive teams, boards, and public institutions on exploring emerging trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing robust strategic responses. Prior to establishing Future Station, she worked as a consultant at Ernst & Young in Romania and in a global corporate environment at Royal DSM in the Netherlands.

Rather than making predictions, Stafie collaborates with teams and organizations to build possible future scenarios and prepare strategically for them. She has completed international education in foresight at the Institute for the Future in the United States, the University of Houston, and the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies, and she completed the European Commission's program on long-term preparedness. Stafie holds a postgraduate diploma in corporate governance from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom, a bachelor's degree in finance and law, and a master's degree in audit of financial institutions. She is a certified strategic futures analysis practitioner and an ambassador in the Global Scanning Network from the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies.

Stafie has led foresight projects in sectors such as banking, energy, fast-moving consumer goods, telecom, healthcare, and education, as well as for NGOs, ministries, and international programs. She is an associate member of the World Futures Studies Federation and Foresight Europe Network, and a certified ExO coach and ambassador for the Exponential Organization community. Her approach emphasizes that organizations should not merely predict the future but actively prepare for the various ways it might unfold, a perspective she has shared across international conferences and business publications.

Stafie serves on several boards, including Arctic Stream, an IT infrastructure company listed on the stock exchange; EDGE Institute, Romania's first think tank focused on digital transformation; Envisia, the first board members school in Central and Eastern Europe; and the Association of Professional Futurists at the international level. She also teaches foresight at a business school and invests in startups. Her work has been featured on the cover of Forbes Romania, highlighting her contributions to organizational foresight and strategic planning. Stafie has served as keynote speaker and moderator at Forbes Business Fest, and her insights on foresight, trends, and exponential technologies are regularly featured in business publications. She also represents Teach the Future in Romania and frequently contributes to strategic education and public foresight resources.
