Josh Desure, known professionally as Desure, is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter recognized for his genre-defying approach to indie music. His sound blends elements of alternative rock, West Coast pop, psychedelia, punk, and indie-folk, reflecting the diverse musical landscape of Los Angeles. Rolling Stone has noted Desure's ever-evolving style, which draws from the eclectic influences of his upbringing in the city.

Desure's journey to solo artistry includes fronting the doom metal band Black Prism and working as tour manager for Midland, the Grammy-nominated country band. He has opened for artists such as Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakam and released a cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain," accompanied by a gender-bending music video, further distinguishing his work from traditional country music. His debut album, "Pollen," showcases his wide-ranging influences and features collaborations with musicians including Cameron Duddy of Midland, singer-songwriter Jonathan Tyler, Texas Gentlemen keyboardist Daniel Creamer, and Midland guitarist Luke Cutchen. The album incorporates experimental production techniques, blending 808 drum machines and vintage synthesizers with Desure's organic songwriting.

Desure's EP, "Still Blue," continues his exploration of indie and alternative music, featuring cinematic pop hooks and atmospheric arrangements. Collaborators on the project include Jonathan Tyler, Cameron Duddy, outlaw country vocalist Nikki Lane, and producer-songwriter Joe Janiak. The record is autobiographical, combining nostalgia with modern, adventurous arrangements.

Desure has performed at major music festivals such as Ohana, Bumbershoot, Pilgrimage, and Wonderfront, and has supported artists including Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Midland, and Jamestown Revival on U.S. tours. He was discovered by Johnny Depp while working at a tattoo parlor, which led to an opportunity to open for Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp on their North American tour, performing songs from "Still Blue." Variety has noted Desure's ability to make a strong impression with his acoustic performances. His work in contemporary alternative pop continues to attract audiences across genres, marked by his distinctive songwriting and dynamic live presence.
