Denis Machuel

Denis Machuel is a French business executive and global leader in human capital solutions who serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Adecco Group, one of the world’s largest workforce advisory, staffing, and human resources services companies. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Machuel has led Adecco since July 1, 2022, guiding the company through economic shifts and strategic transformation as it works to “Make the Future Work for Everyone”, a mission that reflects his focus on empowering workers and organizations in an evolving labor market.

Before joining Adecco, Machuel built a distinguished international career in global services and technology‑led businesses. He spent more than a decade at Sodexo, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Group Chief Digital Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and ultimately Chief Executive Officer, leading the multinational services organization through digital transformation, operational modernization, and sustained growth. Earlier in his career, Machuel spent 16 years with Altran Group, holding leadership roles in strategy and operations, including serving as CEO of Altran Technologies UK.

At Adecco, Machuel has focused on strengthening the company’s global workforce solutions portfolio, advancing digital and data‑driven talent platforms, and promoting resilience and agility in the face of uncertain economic conditions. Under his leadership, Adecco has reported positive hiring momentum in early 2026, with growth in North American staffing and strategic expansion into sectors such as defense recruitment and AI‑enabled workforce tools, helping the company sustain its position as a trusted partner to employers worldwide. He also oversees efforts to integrate innovative solutions that improve both client and candidate experiences, reflecting his commitment to innovation in the human resources landscape.

In addition to his role at Adecco, Machuel is a board member of Kyndryl Holdings, Inc., contributing his expertise in digital transformation and operations to one of the world’s largest IT infrastructure services companies.
