Deneen L. Garrett

Deneen L. Garrett is a Cultural Alchemist, Media Architect, and international speaker whose work sits at the intersection of media, culture, leadership, and the lived experiences of Black women and Women of Color.

She is the creator and host of Women of Color: An Intimate Conversation — a Top 20 Women's Empowerment Podcast with 200+ episodes, 20,000+ all-time downloads, and a global audience reaching 190K+ monthly. Her weekly live-streamed interview series, "WOC Live," airs weekly on YouTube, where her channel ranks in the U.S. Top 1% and Global Top 8.5% (vidIQ verified). She also writes the column "Dreaming After 50" for Hope Magazine. Her podcast is in partnership with OTTera for FAST channel distribution, expanding her reach into the streaming ecosystem.

Before building this media platform, Garrett spent 22 years at AT&T, retiring as Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Development — where she led the Women of Color High-Potential Program at the corporate strategy level. That background in building inclusive cultures and amplifying underrepresented voices is now foundational to everything she creates.

Garrett serves on the Board of the Detroit Institute of Arts, is a Founding Member of The Gathering Spot Detroit, and an AfroTech Founding Insider Member. In 2026, she built one of the most ambitious press portfolios in the Black women's media space — credentialed at the Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, Milken Institute Global Conference, BOMESI Summit, and Fanatics Fest NYC.

She is the Founder of the Dream Lifestyle™️ Collective — a community for Black women 50+ — and is based in Detroit, Michigan.
