Delia Folk

Delia Folk is a New York-based fashion entrepreneur and co-founder of "The Style That Binds Us," a fashion media and style consulting company focused on empowering women through personal style and professional development. Folk pursued a marketing degree at William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business, emphasizing the importance of storytelling in fashion branding. Her academic background and entrepreneurial approach have shaped her career in the fashion industry.

Folk began her career interning at Versace in men's wholesale before joining the buying team at Barneys New York, where she worked in cosmetics, ready-to-wear, and jewelry across both full-price and off-price channels. During her tenure, she identified emerging designers, analyzed fashion trends, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the fashion business. She also gained experience at Katie Couric Media prior to establishing her own brand.

In partnership with her mother, Alison Bruhn, Folk co-founded "The Style That Binds Us," a lifestyle brand and community for women. As co-founder, Folk provides personal style consulting, digital styling courses, and public speaking engagements. The company offers a YouTube channel, blog, newsletter, and podcast, and has developed into an executive presence and image advisory firm serving women professionals and financial institutions.

Folk has spoken at industry events including American Fashion System with ISEM, Independent Jewelry Summit, Voray, ILOE Studios, Fairly Even Expo, and Flourish & Thrive Academy. She has judged design competitions at NY NOW and consults with brands on wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and marketing strategies. Folk also mentors students at her alma mater through the Women's Stock Pitch competition and hosts webinars for the W&M@Work career development series.

In addition to her work in fashion, Folk participates in civic engagement through the New York Junior League's Advocates for Public Policy committee, advocating for legislation on universal childcare, domestic violence, sexual assault, food security, and rideshare safety. Folk's career demonstrates the intersection of personal style, fashion entrepreneurship, and professional purpose.
