Deirdre Quinn’s early love of the craft inspired a degree in fashion design. Her passion for production and merchandising led her to work at Donna Karan, Escada and Liz Claiborne, where she traveled to more than seventy countries. In 1996, she joined forces with two other fashion veterans and visionaries -- Shun Yen Siu and Ida Siu -- to found Lafayette 148 New York, a globally renowned luxury fashion brand. Known for its timeless designs, impeccable craftsmanship, and dedication to empowering women, Lafayette 148 is one of the few vertically integrated fashion brands. The brand's commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and social impact reflects Quinn’s belief in fashion as a force for good.
A member of the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Board of Trustees, Quinn has a lifelong love of learning and a devotion to philanthropy and enriching the world through education. She has spearheaded initiatives like the Lafayette 148 Women's Leadership Series and partnered with organizations that support young women pursuing careers in business and design. Her contributions to the industry have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition from the Women’s Forum of New York and the Accessories Council and a spot on Forbes' 50 Over 50 list.
