Deirdre Bolton

Deirdre Bolton is a television journalist and business correspondent with a career spanning more than two decades in financial and economic reporting across major U.S. news networks. Bolton transitioned from a career in institutional equity sales at CDC North America and Société Générale to broadcast journalism, bringing firsthand experience from the financial sector to her reporting. She is recognized for her ability to explain complex financial concepts in accessible terms, a skill that has characterized her work in business news.

Bolton created and hosted "Money Moves with Deirdre Bolton" on Bloomberg TV, a program focused on alternative investing, including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital. She has interviewed influential figures in business and finance, such as David Rubenstein of the Carlyle Group, Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures, Wilbur Ross, and Bill Ackman of Pershing Square Capital Management. Bolton gained broader visibility during the financial crisis, appearing on CBS and ABC, and contributed to CBS's "The Early Show" with analysis of global financial markets.

At Fox Business Network, Bolton developed and hosted "Women & Money with Deirdre Bolton" and "Risk & Reward with Deirdre Bolton." "Women & Money with Deirdre Bolton" addressed financial and professional issues from a female perspective. After a period of absence from "Risk & Reward" due to injury, Bolton returned to continue her work in financial journalism. She also conducted a one-on-one interview with Larry Summers at the World Economic Forum.

At ABC News, Bolton reported on the global economic impact of the pandemic and the land war in Europe for World News Tonight, Good Morning America, Nightline, and GMA-3. Her international reporting includes coverage from Singapore during the meeting between South Korea, the United States, and North Korea, as well as on-the-ground reporting from Paris following terror attacks. She has also covered the Allen & Company Tech and Media Conference, interviewing leaders such as Tim Cook, Eddy Cue, and Jeff Bezos. Bolton later joined Prosek Partners as managing director. She has a personal interest in illustration and develops cartoon books on financial literacy at The School of Visual Arts.
