DeWanna Bonner

DeWanna Bonner is a forward recognized for her scoring, rebounding, and versatility in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Before her professional career, Bonner played at Auburn University, where she became the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,162 points. She was named SEC Player of the Year, earned All-America honors, and became the fifth player in Auburn history to have her jersey retired.

Bonner entered the WNBA as the fifth overall pick in the draft by Phoenix Mercury. She won the WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year Award in her rookie season and contributed to the Mercury's WNBA Championship. Bonner is the only three-time winner of the Sixth Player of the Year Award and is a two-time WNBA champion. She holds the league's all-time postseason rebounding record. In addition to her WNBA career, Bonner has played internationally in the Czech Republic, Spain, and Russia.

Bonner is among the WNBA's all-time leading scorers and is one of only two players in league history, along with Tamika Catchings, to record more than 6,000 points, 2,500 rebounds, 900 assists, and 500 steals. She reached 8,000 career points, becoming the third player in WNBA history to achieve this milestone, following Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles. Bonner is a six-time WNBA All-Star and has earned All-WNBA First Team and All-WNBA Second Team honors.

Bonner has established herself as a leading figure in professional women's basketball, with two championships, six All-Star selections, two All-WNBA honors, and three Sixth Player of the Year awards. After her tenure with the Connecticut Sun, she joined the Indiana Fever, where she became a veteran leader. Bonner has averaged 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game over more than 570 regular-season appearances, reflecting her durability and consistent performance in the WNBA.
