Davin Jackson

Davin Jackson is a United States Air Force veteran, professional hacker, and cybersecurity expert with nearly two decades of experience in technology and information security. After discovering penetration testing and ethical hacking, Jackson attended an ethical hacking boot camp and worked on security engagements for businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, government facilities, schools, and hospitals. His certifications include GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester, GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Ethical Hacker.

Jackson hosts "InfoSec Unplugged," a weekly live-stream podcast that explores both technical and human aspects of the cybersecurity industry. He interviews professionals in the field, discussing career journeys, industry trends, and motivations. Jackson also hosts "Hacker Valley Blue" and serves as a LinkedIn Learning instructor.

Jackson founded Alpha Cybersecurity, which produces educational content about cybersecurity careers and provides guidance on protecting against cyberattacks. As a LinkedIn Learning instructor, he developed courses on API security, including "Learning the OWASP API Top 10," which has reached thousands of learners. In these courses, Jackson demonstrates how APIs function and how to secure them to protect applications. He has also contributed as a cybersecurity media personality for eSecurity Planet.

With more than a decade of experience consulting for organizations of various sizes, Jackson has focused on improving security posture and defending against cyber threats. In addition to his roles as a security consultant and podcaster, he is an active member of the cybersecurity community, frequently presenting at conferences and events. Jackson has been nominated for the BTA Awards for Outstanding Initiative for his work with Alpha Esports & Technology and Alpha Cybersecurity. He also leads an esports program that uses gaming to engage young people in discussions about technology, STEM, and cybersecurity, supporting the development of future cybersecurity professionals.
