David Adedeji Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer recognized for his influence in the Afrobeats music industry. Adeleke is credited with contributing to the global popularity of Afrobeats, a genre that blends traditional African rhythms with Western influences such as hip-hop, R&B, and dancehall. His career includes over 5 billion streams and more than 1.4 billion video views.

Adeleke gained prominence with the single "Dami Duro," which achieved significant success in Nigeria and led to his debut album, "Omo Baba Olowo." The album, a fusion of Afrobeats and hip-hop, received the Album of the Year Award at The Headies. Adeleke expanded his impact on the music industry by founding the record label Davido Music Worldwide, where he has signed and mentored several artists.
