Davide Venturelli Biography
Davide Venturelli is a scientist at the Intelligent System Division of NASA Ames Research Center. NASA hosts the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (QuAIL), where Davide manages the science operations of Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science. At QuAIL, he researches on the fundamental power of quantum optimization and its application to scheduling problems. He developed theoretical methods of quantum computing and programming techniques of optimizers such as the D-Wave Two machine. During his postdocs he worked on quantum nanoelectronics, quantum thermodynamics and noise in quantum information. He holds a Ph.D in nanophysics from the university of Grenoble and in theory of the matter from the International School of Advanced Scientific Studies. He also advises in the board of startups working with AI, drones, P2P networks.
