David D. Walker

David D. Walker is a financial executive and the founder and president of Viribus Capital Advisors, a firm focused on supporting entrepreneurs and business owners. Walker brings more than two decades of experience in finance, investment banking, and consulting to the firm's operations. His background includes expertise in investment banking, with a focus on fixed income and equity analysis, valuation, and marketing.

As a keynote speaker and industry expert, Walker addresses topics such as business growth, business leadership, the economy, finance, geopolitics, overcoming adversity, resilience, strategic leadership, and world affairs.

Walker's career spans multiple industries. He worked on Wall Street for 24 years, developing expertise in the valuation and trading of fixed income and equity securities, with roles in New York City, London, and Chicago, including as managing director and partner at R.W. Pressprich. Earlier, he served as vice president at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, managing client relationships and capital markets transactions. Walker also served as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University, combining academic and practical experience to educate future finance professionals.

Walker served on Capitol Hill as a presidential appointee and was head of volunteer recruitment and selection at the Peace Corps. His public service demonstrated a commitment to civic leadership and the management of large-scale operations.

At Viribus Capital Advisors, Walker has led initiatives in venture capital and financial consulting, with a focus on the artificial intelligence sector, biotechnology, environmental remediation, and the energy industry. In addition to consulting, he is a public speaker and university educator, sharing insights on corporate finance, hedge funds, and investment strategies.

Walker graduated from The Citadel with a degree in civil engineering, where he was elected to the Honor Committee and was a member of the wrestling team. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Yale University. His leadership experience includes managing teams ranging from five to 170, demonstrating adaptability and expertise in overseeing complex projects across various sectors.
