
David Berkowitz is a marketing strategist whose career has spanned influential agencies and technology firms in the digital advertising industry. He began at research firm eMarketer, managing editorial and media relations programs, before moving into agency roles at iCrossing and then 360i, the Dentsu-owned digital agency, where he spent more than seven years.
At 360i, Berkowitz served as senior director of emerging media and innovation, ultimately rising to vice president of emerging media, where he helped diversify the agency's capabilities beyond search. In that role, he developed mobile marketing strategies for brands including Bravo, Coca-Cola, and Oreo. He also co-authored several industry resources, such as 360i's "Social Marketing Playbook," "Mobile Marketing Playbook," and "Social Commerce Playbook," and contributed to "The Age of Conversation" series. After his tenure at 360i, Berkowitz served as chief marketing officer at MRY, leading efforts for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Visa, and Pizza Hut. He subsequently held roles including head of marketing at Storyhunter and chief strategy officer at Sysomos. He later joined omnichannel advertising platform Mediaocean as senior vice president of corporate marketing and communications, overseeing global public relations, analyst relations, corporate messaging, and content.
Beyond executive roles, Berkowitz is recognized as a community builder and public voice in marketing. He has contributed more than 600 columns to outlets such as Advertising Age, MediaPost, VentureBeat, and Adweek, and has spoken at 350 events globally. His speaking engagements have included Cannes Lions, South by Southwest (SXSW), the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and keynotes at events run by Google, Coca-Cola, and NBC Universal, with appearances spanning Australia and Brazil.
