David A. Stockman

David A. Stockman started his political career as a U.S. Representative from Michigan and later served as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Ronald Reagan. As the key architect of "Reaganomics," Stockman made efforts to reduce federal government spending and curb the "welfare state." His frankness in expressing his views was made evident in the "The Education of David Stockman" article in the Atlantic Monthly.
