Danielle Perez

Danielle Perez is a Los Angeles–based stand-up comedian, writer, and actor known for her sharp wit, fearless storytelling, and trailblazing voice in comedy and disability advocacy. A native of L.A., Danielle began her journey into stand-up after surviving a streetcar accident in her early twenties that resulted in the amputation of both legs below the knee. Rather than letting the tragedy define her, she transformed her experience into comedy that is both empowering and unflinchingly honest.

She gained widespread attention in 2015 after a viral appearance on The Price Is Right, where she famously won a treadmill—a moment that led to an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and put her in the public spotlight. Since then, Danielle has become a fixture in the comedy world, performing at major festivals like SF Sketchfest and Just for Laughs, where she was named a “New Face of Comedy” in 2021. She was also a semifinalist for StandUp NBC in 2018 and 2019, and has opened for established names including Maria Bamford, Guy Branum, and Cristela Alonzo.

Her television and film credits include roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm, Russian Doll, Special, With Love, Diary of a Future President, and voice work as Sun-Spider in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. She also appeared in the musical comedy film Dicks: The Musical, continuing to expand her reach across genres and platforms.

Beyond the stage and screen, Danielle is a passionate advocate for disability representation and equity in the entertainment industry. She speaks regularly at events focused on inclusion and visibility, and co-founded the comedy showcase Thigh Gap Comedy. She also produces and hosts GENTRIFICATION, a live comedy show in Los Angeles that highlights diverse talent and voices.
