Danielle Krettek Cobb

Danielle Krettek Cobb is a designer, creative strategist and founder of Google Empathy Lab, an interdisciplinary initiative she launched in 2015 to help shape technology through empathy, resilience and human-centered design. Her work explores how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, can better reflect the emotional, social and ethical dimensions of the human experience. Inspired by natural systems and interconnected flourishing, she has collaborated with organizations including NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and leading thinkers such as Brené Brown, Krista Tippett, Geoff McFetridge and Ram Dass.

A globally recognized creative leader, Cobb's award-winning work spans design, technology, film and social impact. Throughout her career, she has helped shape products, experiences and creative initiatives for Google, Apple and Nike while championing a more compassionate approach to innovation. Her work has influenced conversations around emotional intelligence, ethical technology and the future of AI, and she continues to advise organizations working at the intersection of humanity and emerging technology.

Beyond Google, Cobb is co-founder and CEO of GRANDMOTHER, an organization dedicated to cultivating empathy, resilience and human flourishing, and serves as chief creative advisor to Hume AI, where she helps advance emotionally intelligent artificial intelligence. She is also pursuing Buddhist chaplaincy training, reflecting her ongoing commitment to integrating contemplative wisdom with leadership and technology.
