Daniela Rus

Daniela Rus, a pioneering figure in the world of computer science and robotics, is most known for her influential work in the development of autonomous systems and the innovative field of artificial intelligence. As the current Director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, Rus is at the forefront of creating intelligent machines designed to collaborate with humans, enhance everyday life, and tackle complex societal challenges. In addition to her directorial role, she further contributes to the field as the Andrew and Erna Viterbi Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT.
