Daniel Suárez is a trailblazing NASCAR Cup Series driver and the first Mexican-born competitor to win a NASCAR national series race. Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Suárez began his racing career in go-karts before moving to the United States, with no money, connections, or any knowledge of the English language. He quickly made a name for himself in NASCAR’s developmental series. He captured the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship, becoming the first foreign-born driver to do so, and earned Rookie of the Year honors in both the Xfinity and Cup Series.
Known for his resilience, determination, and ability to connect with fans on and off the track, Suárez has become a role model for aspiring athletes worldwide. He drives the No. 99 car in the NASCAR Cup Series and has partnered with top brands including Coca-Cola, Freeway Insurance, and Chevrolet. A recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award for Sports Excellence from UnidosUS, Suárez speaks passionately about perseverance, diversity in sports, and achieving success against the odds.
