Daniel Haack

Daniel Haack, an Emmy Award-winning author and media creator, has made a significant impact in the world of children's literature and media. His debut book, "Prince & Knight," was not only published worldwide by Little Bee Books but was also celebrated as an ALA Rainbow List Top Ten book, a Goodreads Choice Awards nominee, and as one of the best children's books of 2018 by Amazon, Kirkus Reviews, and the Chicago Tribune. This success was mirrored in his co-written book, "Maiden & Princess," which was named one of the best books of 2019 by Book Riot. Haack's other titles include "Prince & Knight: Tale of the Shadow King," and the two-part "How Felix Found His Moxie" for Wondery’s "Little Stories Everywhere" podcast.

Haack's contributions extend beyond his written work, as he has held significant roles in the media industry. He currently serves as vice president of content strategy and business development at Magic Star, the kids and family entertainment division of The Orchard and Sony Music. Prior to this, Haack worked as a creative executive of kids and family programming for YouTube Originals, contributing to projects like "The Guava Juice Show," "Super Sema," and "Coyote Peterson’s Wild Field Trip". He was also involved in producing digital platforms for the children’s media franchise StoryBots, an effort that led to him winning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Media.

Haack's educational background further strengthens his qualifications in the sector. He graduated from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s technology, innovation, and education program as a Saul Zaentz Fellow. His alma mater, Ithaca College, recognized his accomplishments by bestowing him with the Young Alumni Award in 2019. Additionally, Haack's commitment to community service is evident through his work on the executive leadership committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's NYC Light the Night Walk, where he helped raise over $30,000.
